Most bolo slides are flat plates with relief on one face. This one is a fully three-dimensional fox head — muzzle, ears and cheekbones shaped from all sides — in your choice of silver or bronze finish, on a 41.7-inch (106 cm) leather cord.

The styling leans on Norse and Celtic design cues: angular planes and drawn-back lines rather than cartoon softness. Because the head is sculpted in the round, it throws highlights and shadow as you move, something a flat slide cannot do.

A sculpted head also stands taller off the chest than a flat slide, so it will bump zippers and guitar straps — worth knowing if you play. Norse-inspired means inspired: this is a contemporary fashion casting, not a reproduction of any historical object.
