Everything we can say for certain

Measurements come off the piece with a rule. Where we never measured something, the answer says so instead of guessing.

The pieces

How long is the cord?

Forty-one point seven inches laid flat, measured on the piece. The clasp slides along it, so the loop you wear is whatever you set it to.

How big is the slide?

One point three eight by one point one inches for the guitar slide. Every product page carries its own measurement, taken the same way.

What is the slide made of?

We describe the finish as silver-tone or gold-tone, and never as a metal, because we have no verified composition on file.

The same rule applies to the weight of the slide and to what sits under the braid of the cord. Those are shown as blanks on the product page rather than filled with a guess.

Will it work with my collar?

The clasp slides freely along the cord and holds where you leave it, so the piece sits where you set it rather than at a fixed length.

How many colourways are there?

It depends on the piece. The guitar slide comes in six; each product page shows the ones that exist for it, with a photograph of each.

Ordering

Is there a discount on a second piece?

Yes. Twenty percent comes off the second piece, applied at checkout on the cheaper of the two. Nothing to type in.

What do the pieces cost?

Between twenty-nine and fifty-nine dollars. The price on each product page is the price you pay; shipping to the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada is free.

Can I cancel after ordering?

Write to info@bolo-tie.com as early as you can, with your order number. We forward it immediately, but we cannot promise it reaches the warehouse before the parcel leaves. If it does not, it becomes a return.

Delivery

How long does delivery take?

The parcel normally leaves the warehouse within one to three days. Delivery to the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada then usually takes five to seven business days.

Where do you ship from?

From warehouses in Asia and Europe, depending on where the piece is held. An order with several pieces can arrive in more than one parcel, on different days, at no extra cost to you.

Do you ship outside the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada?

Those three are the destinations where shipping is free. For anywhere else, write to us before ordering and we will tell you plainly whether we can send it and what it costs.

Where is my tracking number?

Emailed the moment the parcel leaves. The carrier sometimes takes a day or two to start scanning it, so a number that shows nothing yet is normal on day one.

Returns

How long do I have to return something?

Fourteen days from the day you receive the order, for a refund or an exchange. After fourteen days we cannot offer either.

Who pays the return shipping?

You do. We do not provide a return label, and that is written here rather than discovered at the moment you want to send something back.

What do I have to do first?

Contact us at info@bolo-tie.com before sending anything. A parcel returned without prior contact cannot be refunded, and we need to know which pieces are coming back.

The pieces must be unused, in the condition you received them, and in their original packaging.

Who we are

Who runs this shop?

JR ECOM AE, a sole proprietorship registered in France. The full address and phone number are on the contact page.

Are these made by Native American artisans?

No, and we will not imply otherwise. We are not silversmiths, we are not a Native American artisan or gallery, and we are not a vintage dealer.

We are an independent shop that curates affordable, wearable pieces and writes honestly about them.

Why are some specifications left blank?

Because we did not measure them. The slide weight, the metal composition and what sits under the braid of the cord are shown as empty on every product page rather than filled with a number we cannot stand behind.
