A bolo tie has no women's sizing — the cord adjusts, so every piece we sell already fits anyone. What changes when a woman wears one is the styling: without a collar button to cinch against, on a dress, blouse or tee, slide height becomes a choice instead of a rule. These 26 pieces reward that choice — slides that read as jewelry before they read as western hardware. All stay unisex, and several also appear in our men's and necklaces collections. We would rather say so than invent a women's line we do not carry.

1. Cord length decides where the slide lands

Cords run from 34 inches (86 cm) on the bird slide to 42.5 inches (108 cm) on the Celtic knot. A shorter cord holds the slide near the collarbones and keeps the tips above the waist — the cleaner line over a dress. The 41-inch-plus cords drop the slide to the sternum and suit long coats and jumpsuits. One outlier: the butterfly rides an adjustable 15.75-to-31.5-inch (40–80 cm) cord and wears at choker-to-pendant height.

2. Stone color does the outfit's work

Most of the selection is stone-led: turquoise-tone in four settings plus two small turquoise-tone hearts, dye-treated agate in nine colors on one slide and eight on another, amethyst-tone, three greens — jade-tone, emerald-tone, a man-made green cat-eye — a banded blue triangle, a scalloped brown oval, a pink retro-pattern panel, a white stone with shell-like luster, and a faceted rhinestone round in red, blue or black for after dark. One color near the face does more for an outfit than any engraving.

3. Metal slides layer like pendants

The metal-first pieces — trinity knot, Celtic knot, cast flower, moth, toadstool, gold-tone initials A to Z, the minimalist cuboid — work like pendants on a cord. Layered, the bolo takes the longest position: keep chains shorter than the slide so the pieces stagger instead of tangling. The owl is the texture pick: a velvet cord in black or blue, the only velvet here.

What you are actually buying

Slides are cast zinc alloy under silver-tone, gold-tone, bronze-tone or antique-finish plating — not precious metal. Stones are dyed, imitation or man-made, and each product page repeats exactly what the supplier states, down to "not specified" where nothing is documented. Cords are leather, PU or velvet, with material and length listed per piece. You are paying for color, shape and an adjustable format, described accurately — what arrives matches what you read.

Women's bolo tie questions

Are these different from your men's bolo ties?

No. Same catalog, different cut: we kept the slides that read as jewelry and left the longhorns and revolvers on the western pages. A man can wear everything here, and a woman can wear everything there.

How do I wear one without a collared shirt?

Set the slide where the neckline wants it: near the collarbones over a crew neck or turtleneck, mid-chest over a V-neck or wrap dress, lower under an open blazer so the lapels frame the cord. Uneven tips are normal, not a mistake.

Are there warm-metal options?

Yes. The initial slides are gold-tone, the trinity knot comes in silver-tone or gold-tone, and the butterfly, the Celtic knot and the turquoise-tone wedding slide each offer a bronze-tone variant.
