The Horned Head, Two Metals Deep

A cast goat head in the Baphomet tradition rides this slide, finished in gold-tone or bronze, on a leather cord of roughly 41.7 inches (106 cm). It is the darkest motif we carry, and it is aimed squarely at wardrobes that already run black.

The image has a paper trail: the occult figure was drawn by the French writer Éliphas Lévi in 1856, and the goat head became twentieth-century shorthand for the occult across metal and goth subculture. This casting takes just the head — horns, beard, stare — not Lévi's full winged figure.

Against an all-black outfit, gold-tone gives maximum contrast and reads stage-ready; bronze sits quieter and suits daylight better. The long cord drops the head low on the chest, where a motif like this belongs — worn high and snug it turns into a collar pin, which undercuts it. What to know before you buy

The gold here is a tone, not a karat — plating over zinc alloy, exactly like the bronze option. Know your rooms: this motif carries real symbolic weight and will be read literally by some people at family tables and workplaces. If you need one bolo that goes everywhere, pick a stone or animal slide; this one is for wardrobes with a point of view. The supplier omits dimensions and weight, so we do too.

Where does the Baphomet image actually come from?

The modern figure traces to Éliphas Lévi's 1856 illustration in a French occult text; later subcultures reduced it to the goat head used here. It predates every band t-shirt that borrowed it by about a century.

Is the full winged figure on the slide?

No — the casting is the head alone: horns, ears, beard. At a glance it reads as a horned goat; the occult association comes from context, not from any text or symbol on the piece.

Gold-tone or bronze for daily wear?

Bronze. It shows fingerprints and micro-scratches less, and its lower contrast lets you wear the motif without broadcasting it across a room. Save gold-tone for shows and nights out.
