A gold-tone eagle with spread, white-finished wings and a turquoise-tone stone mounted on its back, on a 38-inch (97 cm) cord. It is the most detailed — and, at the top of our range, the most expensive — of the three eagle designs we carry.

Most stone-set bolos put the stone front and center and build metal around it. This one reverses the order: the bird is the front, wings out as if landing, and the stone rides behind it, visible from above and at an angle. The two-tone effect — yellow metal, white wings, blue-green stone — gives it three colors before your shirt adds a fourth.

Three built-in colors mean the shirt should bring only one: white, cream, or pale blue lets the piece organize the outfit. This is an occasion bolo — the kind you wear to be asked about — so save it for dinners, shows and photographed events rather than daily rotation. What to know before you buy

Gold-tone and white are both surface finishes over cast zinc alloy, and the stone is a turquoise-tone imitation — the supplier does not identify the base material. None of that is hidden in the photos: what you see is colored finish work, priced like colored finish work. Handle the wing edges with some care; thin cast sections are where any alloy piece is weakest.

Where exactly is the stone?

Set on the eagle's back, between the wings. Face-on you see its color over the bird's shoulders; from above it is fully visible.

Are the wings painted?

They carry a white surface finish; the supplier doesn't document the process. It is a coating, not white metal or enamel we can certify.

How is this different from your other eagle bolos?

The eagle emblem design frames its bird inside a buckle shape, and the eagle head is a profile with no stone. This is the only one with spread wings and a mounted stone.
